Diary Entry-WTF, part deux!

When we arrived at Loch Seljord, I was a bit out of sorts. Having some weird, mutated sea creature scare the hell out of you can do that. I was in need of a reset of sorts.

The home of Selma gave me that in spades. The waters had a warm, soothing effect. Much of the stress and anxiety of my Normie encounter disappeared.

This stress and anxiety was supplanted by wonder and magic. Selma is real. But, more importantly, I had a close encounter with this remarkable creature!

It rubbed up against me. It nuzzled me. On some level, it seemed to know I was a friend. WTF (part deux)?

It wasn’t the SIREN that got its attention because the SIREN wasn’t firing. It looks like ‘I’ got its attention. As soon as I entered the water, it seemed to sense my presence.

It knew I was there somehow. My close encounter with Selma reminded me of the countless times restless souls have sought me out to help them find solace, find peace, and find a way home. Selma sought me out for some reason.

Why did it gravitate towards me? Did I give off some kind of smell it liked? Or was it something else entirely?

I think we’re onto something. The SIREN can emit some frequencies that amount to basic commands that Nessie (and its relatives, friends, etc) follow. We’ve established this.

EG-Go to wormhole. Swim to the surface and jump in the air. Seek and destroy Argentinian navy. Granted, the latter two were ‘accidents’.

But, in order to convey a more complicated message to Nessie (or any of these wacky Loch creatures), maybe a lighter, more human touch is necessary. It may require the magical, Midas-like touch of the one, the only Jess Cohen!

In all seriousness, the game is afoot. I would venture to guess it’s possible to connect with other creatures in a similar fashion. I’m more than happy to sign up for more close encounters.

The one I had with Selma was magical. It was enormous. It was majestic. It reminded me of that scene from Jurassic Park where the brachiosaurus sneezes on the young girl.

I was lucky. Selma didn’t unload a giant snot rocket on me. She merely nuzzled and sniffed. And…..I think she may have smiled at me!

Pops and I have to do another test. Whatever Loch lies ahead is about to get rocked! Or at least, we’ll give the Loch a good solid once over.

For the first time since this nutty adventure began, I am starting to feel something odd. I am feeling (vaguely) hopeful. I think we have a (decent) shot at finding our way out of this conundrum wrapped in an enigma.

I think it also might be possible to track down Tommy and bring him home. We had zero ideas, zero leads, and the thinnest of hope when we embarked on rock the loch. But, now the game has changed.

Whoa! The Trident just did a crazy corskscrew dive and is now making a racket. I think we’re closing in on the next Loch!
