Diary Entry…The Hauntings of Benicia..

It’s hard to believe, but I’m nearly halfway (119.94 miles) through the tour! It hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows, but things have gone ok. Of course, I wish Mom was here with me as we’d originally planned.

But, I’ve still managed to log some quality miles and save a few souls along the way despite her absence. I only hope I’ll be able to save a few more over the course of the next 120ish miles.

I also hope I’ll be able to get some clarity around the Nur. Things are getting worse. More and more people are falling prey to the Nur.

Local media is now referring to what’s happening as the ‘achilles virus’. But, I know better. It’s NOT a virus. People are running afoul of the Nur and they don’t even know it!

I’ve been in close contact with Joey the past few days. I’d hoped he might recover. But, it’s been a couple weeks and he still can’t run. Tessa is still really fatigued.

The reported cases seem to be getting closer despite the fact that I keep running. I keep trying to create distance. But, it feels like the Nur is closing the gap…somehow.

It was barely alive when I encountered it back on Hicks Road. Is it getting stronger? Is it getting faster? If it’s feeding on the regular, I suppose it’s possible.

If it finally closes the gap and I can no longer run from it, what do I do?
