Diary Entry-Gualala River Redwood Park…the road trip continues…

I took Dr. Meldrum’s advice to heart and kept my expectations for Fort Ross low. This approach paid dividends as I ended up being pleasantly surprised. My first stop on the road trip was pretty squatchtastic!

I uncovered an old footcast of what ‘could’ be a Sasquatch. In the squatchy woods behind Fort Ross, I heard some strange noises that might have been squatch related. Lastly, I acquired a strange hair that doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen before. Rounding things out, I managed to acquire a furry pal to help me ‘sniff’ out squatches!

My parents were a bit wary of me striking out on my own. They were relieved to hear I’ve got myself a companion on this road trip. And, Sherman is no ordinary companion.

According to his ‘foster parent’, Sherman’s a mutt like no other. His night vision is uncanny. His sense of smell is off the charts. In short, he’s the perfect ‘squatch sniffer’.

Sherman also managed to (somehow) survive 50+ miles in the Mojave Desert! This furry, little guy is a mutt like no other. I’ve only had him riding shotgun with me for about 15 minutes and I can’t imagine not having him by my side.

We’re heading towards Sea Ranch for our next stop. While there are no reports of any sightings there, I’ve always wanted to check this area out. I also did get a tip from a friend of Jess’s there have been some ‘squatchy’ noises recently heard at Gualala River Redwood Park.

While this lead might go nowhere, luck has been on my side so far. We may not find Sassy live and in the flesh. But, maybe we’ll dig up some more evidence of everyone’s favorite furry cryptid.

OK. Enough with the diary. It’s time to get down to business. Sherman’s whining. This is a clear sign he wants to do some squatchin!
