Diary Entry-It’s time to ROCK the LOCH(S)!

Pops has searched for countless cryptids over the years. But, Nessie is different. Nessie is like his version of Moby Dick. Everyone’s favorite aquatic cryptid is a bit of an obsession.

But, I get it. He saw something strange on the shores of Lake Champlain as a kid. It changed him. It captured his imagination.

From that point on, Pops just couldn’t get enough of Nessie (and other strange water monsters). As it turns out, countless lochs (aka-lakes) have reports of strange sea serpents, creatures, or ‘monsters’. He’s investigated a few over the years with little to show for his efforts.

But, there are numerous lochs he’s simply never explored until now. Fortunately, his agent has lined up a book deal involving a deep exploration of some of the most famous lochs where Nessie (and/or other strange aquatic creatures) has been sighted. Given that I’m putting off college for a year, I thought I would tag along as dad’s research assistant.

I need something to keep me busy. Dad does too. None of us have been right since Tommy disappeared.

Tommy’s sasquatch roadtrip went sideways. Well, we actually think his road trip may have led him to another dimension. Just prior to his disappearance, I got a text from him with some details that suggested he was in close proximity to some kind of inter-dimensional portal.

It’s been months since we heard from him. There’s little question we’re embarking on this expedition to keep ourselves sane while we wait for Tommy’s return. I think we’d both be losing our minds if this expedition wasn’t on our calendars. We’re affectionately calling this trip ‘Rock the Loch’.

I wish Mom was along for the ride on this one, but she’s staying home in case Tommy returns. He’s one of the most creative and resilient dudes I know. If he stumbled onto an inter-dimensional portal during his road trip, there’s gotta be a way for him to find his way back, right?

We all hope so. Otherwise, well….screw otherwise. We’ve got too many plans. There are so many creepy spots we’ve been meaning to explore. Tommy HAS to come home.

In the interim, we will rock the lochs and see what we can learn about everyone’s favorite aquatic cryptid. I’m also hoping to learn a bit more about Dad. The truth is he’s a bit of a cryptid to me!

Maybe I can I peel back a few layers? Maybe I can get closer to solving the mystery that is Daniel Cohen? If nothing else, our crazy Loch expedition keeps us busy, paid, and may lead to other gigs.
